Women’s Wedge Shoes for Summer Style
There are more to summer shoes than rubber flip flops. Women’s wedge shoes make some of the hottest summer looks around and not only are they super stylish, they also are comfortable at the same time. There is no reason to forego the look of stylish shoes just because it is summer.
Ladies shoes can make or break an outfit and with a stylish pair of summer wedges, they can be the star of almost any outfit. They look great with wide capris, jeans, skirts, dresses, even shorts. With the different heights, anyone can be comfortable in a wedge shoe, and even the highest of the high wedges are quite comfortable to walk in.
One hot trend in wedge shoes this season are the cork or espadrille heel. They both provide a shoe that is not overly dressy but still can take the wearer to many events. The gladiator inspired upper is a popular trend as is a sling back or peep toe upper.
This season not only is the gladiator wedge a hit, but look for uppers with ruffles, bows, or any feminine embellishment. Neutrals are big, from chocolate browns to light sand colors. Black is always a winner, and this season, white has made a big comeback as well, so look for the white upper on a wedge maybe with some metal embellishments or feminine touches.
Remember, these shoes go with so many different outfits. They will dress up jeans or long shorts. Roll up some loose trouser pants and put on the wedges for a summery casual look. A wedge with a flowy dress or skirt adds style but is more comfortable and casual than a traditional heel or pump, adding that soft, summery air.
There are a few styles to stay away from with wedges, and those are things like skinny jeans or pencil skirts. They will look clunky with tight fitting clothes. Stick to the flowing clothes and the wedge shoe will surely be a favorite in any closet.
