If you have a moderate acne problem I recommend Proactive Solutions. I use it from time to time to keep the blemishes away. Having taken Accutane twice for severe acne this product keeps the blackheads in my nose and chin under control. I get an occasional breakout and this product does the trick. It has also worked very well evening out my skin tone.

A nice bonus in controlling breakouts is On The Spot Clay Mask. This ensures that you will have acne free skin before a date or a presentation. Two days before I have something important to do I will use the mask to make sure I will be acne free in the days to come. When I had severe acne, before my first try with Accutane, Proactive did not work for me. Clearing up cystic acne, especially body acne, did not work for me with Proactive! I found this product only effective for moderate face and neck breakouts. However, if you have moderate breakouts and want something that does not have side effects Proactive is a great acne free solution. A lot of the harsher products can cause your skin to peel and exposure to sun can result in dangerous sunburns. Proactive does not have these harsh side effects and is effective in obtaining clear skin.

Proactive is a simple solution for moderate acne. Using it now I feel I have more control over my breakouts. The breakouts I occasionally get are stress or hormonal related. Because these outbreaks are very predictable, Proactive is effective. Using Proactive makes me feel more in control of my skin. I know I can prevent a breakout and effectively treat a breakout. If I get a breakout, I know I can minimize it and clear my skin fast. This has made a big difference in building my confidence.

Sensitive skin can be problematic, especially during the transition period of seasons. As the skin becomes more sensitive, problems like dryness, spots and itchy patches may appear when the weather or season is changing. Professionals advise those with sensitive skin to keep away from cosmetic products during seasonal transition and to take proper skin care procedures.

Applying toner and replenishing moisture to the skin are essential for sensitive skin. When you have cleansed your face, you should immediately follow by applying toner and lotion. If you find your skin is sensitive to most of the products available on the market, you can make your own natural toner. Here are two natural toner recipes for you.

The first one is aloe vera toner. Aloe vera extract is used by many products because of its excellent moisturizing and soothing functions. This toner is very easy to make. You only need a piece of aloe vera and 5 ml of glycerin. Extract the juice from the aloe vera with a juicer. Then mix the aloe vera juice with the glycerin to form the natural toner. Pour the natural toner into a small spray bottle so that you can carry it with you all the time. Spray the toner onto your face when your skin feels dry.

Other than aloe vera toner, you can also try rose water. Rose water is also easy to make but it is a bit more difficult compared to the aloe vera one. You need 3 teaspoons of dried rose petals, 10ml glycerin and 100ml distilled water as ingredients. Heat the distilled water. Add the dried rose petals to the boiling water and keep heating for 3 to 5 minutes. Allow the solution to cool down. Finally, mix the rose water with the glycerin. The usage is the same as the aloe vera toner. Just apply the rose water to your face whenever you feel the need.

Moisturizing alone is inadequate. To have healthy skin, you also need to do a good job on sun blocking. The UV light from the sun is extremely damaging to (sensitive) skin. Over exposure under the sun causes your skin to be dry, dark, inelastic and sensitive.

A good choice of sun block is very important to people with sensitive skin. Therefore you should pay more attention when buying one for yourself. The golden rule for picking the right sun block is to choose those that are specifically formulated for sensitive skin. Stick with ones that are allergy tested, fragrance free and with Zinc Oxide. To safeguard your extremely sensitive skin, you are advised to test with a little amount of sun block on the inside of your arm or behind your ear. If no allergy is noticed after 24 hours, you can use the sun block.

If you have to work or play under the sun for a period of time, sun block alone may not be completely effective to protect your skin. You should also wear a cap or use an umbrella to shield yourself from the sun.

In many ways, seborrhoeic dermatitis eczema is almost a contradiction to other forms of eczema. Most cases of eczema are the result of dry skin because the skin cannot produce enough oil to keep the skin protected against eczema. However, seborrhoeic dermatitis is caused by the opposite problem.

Seborrhoeic dermatitis eczema takes place on your most oily skin. Typically, it appears in the “t-zone”, the area where skin is producing higher amounts of oil. Many cases of eczema on eyelids, the nose, scalp, and chin are a result of this type of dermatitis.

The skin in this “t-zone” produces the highest amount of oils. When there is an exceedingly high amount of oil, this can cause problems. The oil can trap in dirt, old skin cells, soap scum, and moisture. As these substances combine with your body heat it becomes an ideal environment for yeast.

The yeast grows and causes a yeast infection. The infection causes the skin to swell and turn red. In severe cases, the skin may even turn yellowish because of fluid beneath the skin. The infection also clogs the pores which make the skin begin to dry out and flake. Dandruff is often a side affect. Very quickly, there is a full blown case of red, inflamed, dry, itchy eczema that must be treated.

The good news is that treating this type of eczema is only slightly different than treating normal eczema. Most home remedies for eczema that focus on keeping skin healthy and functioning properly will work for seborrhoeic dermatitis eczema. You will want to get a cleanser for this skin that is mild, but will remove excess oil, dirt, germs, and dead skin cells.

You will probably have to seek help from an expert to eradicate the yeast infection once it forms. Typically, this will require a prescription ointment. Once you have beaten the yeast infection, the eczema should begin healing. If you can keep the skin in that area healthy, you should be able to prevent the recurrence of seborrhoeic dermatitis eczema.
