Beauty Salon Equipment For Start Up Beauticians
Nothing is more exciting than starting up a new business of your very own. But doing so is going to take equipment, and beauty salon equipment is not always cheap (or even affordable) so here are some things you will need to get off the ground and running. Having a good idea of what you will need and making sure it is there when you get started in the beginning will be instrumental in your future success.
Physical Equipment You Will Need
You will need magazines for clients to peek though and request hair styles from, comfortable chairs for them to sit on while they wait for service, and preferably tea, coffee, cookies, candies, that sort of hospitality keeps clients loyal – you can believe that. Taking the time to have stuff like that is thoughtful, and trust me when I tell you those little touches do not go unnoticed by your business associates.
Make sure that the hair washing stations and dryers are comfortable to sit under - sit under them yourself to see. If you sit under one for thirty minutes you will know everything about that dryer that your clients will notice, and if it is horrible to sit under you just lost that business and the business of all their acquaintances.
When you buy brushes and scissors, make sure they are professional grade tools. If they are not they will not hold up to the amount of use you will be putting them though and you will have failures on the job, which also translates to a loss of business revenue.
Sanitation equipment is also super necessary, and you will be amazed how many moms will bring kids in with hair lice and expect you do deal with it for them. No joke.
Your clippers should be a brand you are familiar with and can easily get blades for, you do not want a set so old you cannot get new blades for the thing should the old ones need replacing, and two sets will be a must so you can continue work should the others need service.
Manicure tables and other beauty equipment needs to be functional but attractive. Simple designs will save you money over their more ornate counterparts.
Taking the time to ensure that your salon beauty equipment is set up right and of the highest caliber now will put money in your pocket down the road. The people you serve will tell their friends, who will tell their moms, and pretty soon you will be using those waiting room chairs a lot more than you thought you would.
